XAG, firm based in Guangzhou, collaborated with Germany’s Bayer Crop Science conducting a drone swarm operation in order to eliminate the armyworm in China’s Guangxi region. According to statements made by XAG, drones, equipped with low-toxicity insecticide, have also happily eradicated the pests in the southwest province of Yunnan.

The firm also emphasized that this crop-eating monster can attack 80 varieties of crop. The majority of farmers use traditional insecticide sprayers, which are not effective against the “dangerous, fast-moving armyworm” that can cover 100 kilometers in one night.
