On 4 March, In  Pechenga urban settlement, located in the Murmansk Oblast, an UAV exploded during military exercises  taking place on the territory of a military unit. The device was equipped with simulated ammunition.

In accordance with a statement made by the press center of the Northern Fleet, 5 military men who were on contract military service were injured. Medical workers arrived by helicopter to the site of the incident and took them to hospital. The causes of explosion remain unknown.

The leadership of the military unit and law enforcement agencies have already launched an investigation of the incident.
