Canada’s ABC Medium Security Prison was closed early Friday morning after concerns were raised that that a drone allegedly dropped a firearm onto the facility’s territory. The Canadian Correctional Service confirmed that the Mission Medium institution was closed on Thursday afternoon after a serious drone-related incident. John Randle, regional president of the Union of Correctional Officers, said he was told that the prison was in a situation where inmates had to stay in their cells while officers inspected the premises. The investigation is underway.
