On December 2, workers confiscated a bag of prohibited items at the Jail of Municipality of Trent Hills located at a distance of 60 kilometers from Peterborough, according to a statement made by the Correctional Service of Canada. The package contained 56 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 31 grams of fentanyl, and 141 grams of tobacco, 214 grams of marijuana. In all likelihood, the drone was deployed to smuggle a package to the prison’s premises. This is not the first incident involving drones. In November, two packages of contraband were confiscated in four days. Officials are convinced that the illegal items were also delivered by drone.
