Another drone at prison’s premises

Law enforcement authorities of Queensland, USA, launched an investigation after the detection of a Mavic Pro drone at the Townsville Correctional Center’s premises in Stuart. The device was equipped with large quantities of methylamphetamine, tobacco, cannabis at toal cost of $266,000. The police urged civilians to provide any information regarding the UAV operator. Townsville Correctional Centre’s Director, Louise Kneeshaw, emphasized in a statement that the use of a drone to smuggle prohibited items is a serious breach of the law and could result in imprisonment of the person involved in this activity.
