According to a statement made by the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, Azerbaijani servicemen managed to neutralize the unmanned aerial vehicle, which belonged to Armenia, after it illegally invaded the country’s airspace.

Border tensions occured in mid-July. During this period Armenian UAVs used for reconaissance purposes have been exploited in illegal way over both military and civilian installations. Currently, Azerbaijani air defense units have successfully eliminated eight innovative gadgets. The UAV models turned out to be the tactical X-55, an unmanned aircraft developed and manufactured at the enterprises representing the Armenian defense industry. The X-55 is 3.8 meters long and weighs 50 kg. The device is capable of developing speed of up to 130 kilometers per hour.
