A top rights group urged Nigeria’s military on Tuesday to hold accountability for a drone attack that resulted in death of 39 civilians demanding compensation for the victims and their families. The attack took place near the town of Rukubi, in a central part of a country. In their response on May 17, the military emphasized that it had targeted “alleged terrorists” on the basis of “reliable information”, and didn’t take a blame.  In Washington, State Department reprezentative Vedant Patel said, “any information about civilian casualties must be examined and investigation should be intiated.
