Drones will be deployed to combat locusts in Mauritania
Unmanned aerial vehicles will go through the compulsory testing in Mauritania in order to combat locust swarms which devastate crops. The testing will be carried out with the support of the United Nations and will involve the National Centre for Desert Locust Control and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in that process.
The drones will be deployed in order to determine the location of dangerous pests and reduce risk for crop. In case of success, other African countries will use such gadgets to get rid of locusts which have negative impact on farming.
