Estonia will create a drone registry
A special drone registry will start functioning in Estonia in 2020. The system will contain information about UAVs and their owners.
According to statements made by representatives of the Estonian Air Navigation Services, drones are becoming more and more popular and such popularity creates an incentive for elaboration of the traffic control system of these devices.
According to Maria Tamm, the project coordinator at the Estonian Air Navigation Services, in the future, drones will transport goods from Estonia to Finland, as well as deliver goods to homes.
Currently, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications, together with the Estonian Air Navigation Services and the The Estonian Civil Aviation Administration are elaborating legal regulations regarding the use of drones.
