Government imposed a ban on the use of drones near Port of Dover
The Government has prohibited drone use near the Port of Dover taking into account potential threats which can be posed by such gadgets to national security.
According to a new law, which was implemented on November 1, unmanned aerial vehicles can not be operated below 1,000 feet above mean sea level. The adoption of new regulation was connected with the fact that the Port of Dover has a status of critical national infrastructure and must be protected from hostile unmanned aircrafts.
Only Kent Police, Port of Dover Police, Kent Fire and Rescue Service and other special services can use drones without official permission.
