In Pakistan drones are used in attacks on locusts
Locusts pose a serious threat to farmers living in the The Pakistani province of Sindh. At the same time, drones there are in very short supply which makes elimination of dangerous insects more difficult.
Nahiyoon, Pakistani citizen, who specializes in protection of plants, set in motion unmanned aircrafts initiative. His unmanned aerial vehicles are equipped with tanks able to transport to 20 liters of insecticides.
When giving an interview to the Express Tribune, Nahiyoon emphasized that drone is effective tool for the protection of plants. Such device flies very quickly and сan boast of high operational efficiency. And, as a matter of fact, unmanned aircrafts don’t need a runway comparing to planes and helicopters.
