Following a recent incident occuring in Lincoln County where a civilian drone interfered with an active accident scene, Bridger-Teton National Forest (BTNF) urged drone pilots to ascertain that they are acquainted with rules regarding drone use. In accordance with the information on USFS website, individuals who posed a threat to unmanned aircraft or people staying on the ground or interrupted firefighting operation, can obtain civil penalties, including fines in the size of up to $25,000, or spend many years behind bars.
