NATO is not prepared to cope with drone threats
A Pentagon official of a higher rank made a statement today that NATO isn’t ready to counter drone swarms and short-range missiles, like those that conducted an attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil facilities.
Under secretary of defense for policy, John Rood, during his public speaking at a Center for European Policy Analysis event in Washington emphasized that the menaces from such weapons have evolved faster than NATO’s ability to elaborate counter – drone systems in order to detect and eliminate hostile unmanned aerial vehicles.
He also noted that while considering investment priorities we have to operate as an alliance and make more effort and give more emphasis to that branch.”
