According to a statement made by Raytheon Company USA Air Force will deploy new counter drone laser weapon. The system was delivered earlier this month. Raytheon emphasized that it’s counter drone solution can knock out hostile unmanned aerial vehicle within seconds.

New counter drone device consists of two components: Raytheon’s lasers and Multi-spectral Targeting System, that can find and track hostile drones being used in prohibited areas. After the identification of device the laser system takes it down within seconds.

The solution will be tested by The US Air Force over a period of year and in the long run will be tested overseas in real-world conditions.
