The new legislation regarding drone use was adopted on Thursday by MPs.

According to new regulations, security agencies of Russia such as the Federal Security Service, the National Guard, the Interior Ministry, the Foreign Intelligence Service will be authorised to shot down unmanned aerial vehicles used illegaly.

According to a statement made by Vasily Piskarev, from Security Committee of the State Duma, drones pose a serious threat to security.

The number of incidents and attacks with involvement of drones is increasing rapidly. That’s why taking of preventive measures against unpleasant use of such devices is crucial nowadays.
