Indonesian media reported that an Indonesian fisher managed to spot an underwater drone near Selayar Island. The UAV allegedly belonged to China. Six days later, the device was sent for examination to law enforcement agencies, and then Indonesian military forces obtained the device. The drone, developed by the Shenyang Institute of Automation, is capable of collecting and processing information regarding salinity, turbidity, seawater temperature. Chinese officials haven’t yet made any comments regarding the detection of the underwater drone.
