Two firms obtained a permission for drone food delievery
Israeli firm Flytrex and USA firm Causey Aviation Unmanned located in North Carolina obtained a permission for drone food delivery, in accordance with press release sent to Supply Chain Dive.
The food will be delievered with the help of drone in Holly Springs, North Carolina. Such initiative forms a part of the FAA’s Integration Pilot Program, which will be implemented in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Transportation and the Town of Holly Springs.
The drones will follow a fixed route from a distribution center to an outdoor recreational area, flying over mostly desolated areas. This route was approved by the Federal Aviation Administration.
