U.S. Department of the Interior intends to suspend drone-related programs
According to a statement made by the Financial Times, the Department of the Interior wants to suspend drone programs due to increasing fears about Chinese hardware for unmanned aircrafts, which can pose a threat to national security.
The latest decions made by the Trump administration prompted the Department of the Interior to stop operating it’s fleet composed of 1,000 unmanned aerial vehicles. Parts for drones were produced in China.
It’s supposed that drone flights will be permitted in case when devices are used for emergency purposes.
