The attempted hijacking of a Turkish drone flying over Karabakh resulted in the destruction of a Russian ground surveillance system owned by Armenia. Several reports circulating in Russian media stated that an unidentified military unit was attempting to intercept the world famous Bayraktar TB2 combat UAV belonging to the Azerbaijani army. However, the drone managed to destroy the Russian surveillance system after spotting it.
