According to CENTCOM spokesman Captain Bill Urban, the US military deployed a drone in Syria to attack a high-ranking leader and planner of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda. The attack took place on December 3, in close vicinity to the Syrian city of Idlib. Urban also stressed that innocent people could also be hurt as a result of the attack and that the American authorities are doing there utmost to prevent this from happening.
