In California, on May 14, a drone crashed into tern nests, frightening birds on the ground. It was one of two illegal drone flights that resulted in an accident occuring at the Bolsa Chica protected wetland. Another drone forced another group of terns to temporarily leave their nests. Law enforcement agencies are examining the memory card of the crashed drone in order to establish the identity of the owner.
