On October 15, at about 3:00 pm, a suspicious drone was 330 feet from a manned IKARUS C42 light aircraft. The incident occured in the restricted airsprace over the southern pier located in the Blackpool. Although government officials declined to comment on the incident, they said anyone using a drone or model aircraft should be aware of locations where UAV use is considered as serious offense. The specialized security company “Drone Defense Services” informed about the presense of UAV in the airspace. An investigation is underway.
