A drone operator who contributed to a major accident which took place at a memorial flight event in Buxton confessed his guilt regarding posing a threat to an aircraft. The incident occured at the Buxton Carnival during a flyover by the RAF’s Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hurricane. At the moment, a temporary airspace restriction was put in place and different devices including drones were not allowed to be operated. On a photo we can see UAV being operated in the immediate vicinity to the wing of the Hurricane, which was observed by around 20,000 people. Law enforcement authorities were lucky enough to determine the location of the drone operator, a 49-year-old man from Buxton, and confiscated a drone for investigation purposes.
