UK law-enforcement agencies will be entitled to shoot down hostile UAV
According to the provisions of Unmanned Aircraft Bill, UK law-enforcement agencies and the prison staff will be entitled to shoot down unauthorised UAV by deploying anti-drone systems. Currently, counter-UAV solutions are being tested by security services. Individuals who does not obey the law and operate drones illegally will be obliged to pay penalties.
Brandon Lewis, The Minister for Security, emphasized that a new law is considered to be crucial for the British Government in their attempts to eliminate threats posed by hostile drones.
