The Federal Aviation Administration has developed specific airworthiness standars for 10 unmanned aircraft systems. This is a crucial step which will allow to involve UAVs into more complicated tasks , including delivery.

Dr. Michael Romanovsky, who is currently the director of Aircraft Certification Service Policy and Innovation, emphasized that certification procedure of UAVs is necessary to boost confidence of civilians and authorities in unmanned technologies.
