Yesterday, the Manukau District Court (New Zealand) delievered its verdict to UAV operator after a drone collided with a paraglider in the airspace. The man will be forced to pay a $ 1,000 fine. The court made this decision in view of the fact that the owner of the UAV lost eye contact with the device, as a result of which the unmanned aircraft crashed into the paraglider.
This is the first such trial in New Zealand.
