A man from Pennsylvania shot down a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone that was deployed for checking power lines. The incident occured in the city of Sayr. A drone equipped with an aerial photography apparatus was found in a garbage behind a house that belonged to Gregory Ferro. During the interrogation, the man confessed that he had thrown the drone into the trash, but, according to the law enforcement authorities, “did not want to discuss how and under what circumstances it happened.” State police qualified the incident as a violation of the law, resulting in more than $ 1,000 in material damage. Police also say the drone is worth $ 2,000 and that the case will be reviewed by a court in Bradford County.
