The Piper PA-28 Cherokee aircraft designed for pilot training was on the verge of collision with a drone. The incident took place in the airspace over the airport of Perth, located in Scotland. The aircraft was at 1,900 feet when an unmanned aircraft appeared in the close vicinity of it. The plane descended after the student spotted the device and informed his instructor about the presence of unmanned aircraft in the airspace. British law enforcement officials have been informed about the incident. Subsequently, the British authorities came to the conclusion that although the drone posed a threat to the aircraft, the risk of collision with it was minimal.
