Australian prisons find it hard to tackle errant UAVs
Prisons located in the Australian state of Victoria are experiencing difficulties when it comes to the detection and neutralization of errant drones, which lawbreakers use on regular basis to smuggle drugs and various psychotropic substances to prison’s premises. The illegal use of drones has become more frequent since prisons put into effect a ban on visiting prisoners in March. From March to November, as many as 97 drone incidents were recorded. But the main problem is that at least 5 prisons that are on the verge of risk have not installed effective systems for detection and neutralization of UAVs.
