The Federal Aviation Administration imposed a ban on the use of airspace above Calabasas taking into account the crash of a Sikorsky S-76 helicopter, on board of which were Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven other people. All passengers died.

According to a statement made by the FAA representative, the decision regarding imposing a ban on the use of airspace was taken in response to the enormous number of UAV and other planes conducting flights over the area of crash.

The precise number of unmanned aerial vehicles flying over the prohibited airspace still remains unknown.
