Car crashed into a drone in Germany
In January 2017, a woman who was driving her car and crashed into a drone which landed on an A99 motorway near Germering, Bavaria. Fortunately, neither the driver nor her passengers were injured in the collision. However, the accident caused damaged to the front of her vehicle.
The operator, a 51-year-old man from Munich, turned himself into the police. He said that the drone had a technical problem which was the reason behind the accident. The man was being investigated by police for dangerous interference with road traffic.
The law in Germany already states that is illegal to fly a drone over a motorway or in the vicinity of runways. The continued violations of these regulations show the lack of knowledge of the law by drone owners.
