In Singapour, drone operators will soon face bigger penalties for the illegal use of drones in accordance with amendments to the Air Navigation Act being introduced in Parliament on Oct 7. 

The Transport Ministry made an official statement in which it emphasized that the proposed fines will correspond to the potential threats that can be posed by unmanned aerial vehicles.

The introduced changes will include bigger fines and the possibility of imprisonment for drone operators.

Amendments to the Air Navigation Act come in response to increasing number of threats posed by the unplesant use of drones.
