On January 15, pilots of a Beech B300 aircraft en route from Williams Lake to Kelowna Airport, located in Canada, spotted a suspicious drone in close proximity to the aircraft as it approached the runway. The airport dispatcher immediately informed the law enforcement agencies of the drone’s appearance.

According to a statement made by Jessica Hewitt, the airport’s public relations manager, the appearance of the suspicious device did not have a negative impact on the functioning of the airport.

On January 26, the Canadian aviation regulator was initiated into the incident. An investigation is underway.
