The House of Commons Science and Technology Committee wants to get a better understanding of drone threats and penalties regarding illegal use of such devices in a oncoming Drones Bill.

The Committee demands a precise report by summer 2020, which must include plans regarding the integration of drones in society, the minimization of risks and increasing the technology’s potential.

The British Airline Pilots’ Association supported the report and emphasized that the drone industry must take into account the potential threats which can be posed by unmanned aerial vehicles and put a lot of effort into the mitigation of such risks.

General secretary of The British Airline Pilots’ Association Brian Strutton claimed that he is satisfied that Science and Technology Committee has understood the possible menaces created by drones and recommended concrete steps in order to eliminate them.
