Recent drone attacks on Saudi Arabian oil facilities and drone’s appearence at the India-Pakistan border have given incentive for Taiwan to deploy conter-drone systems.

According to a statement made by Oddis Jung-Feng Tsai, policy analyst at Taiwan’s Institute for National Defense and Security Research located in Taipei new defense system will consist of two elements – drone capture and signal-interference system. These components have already been displayed at the Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition 2019.

New signal-interference system can block drone’s GPS transmission through interfering into full range of signal frequency.
