On Friday, a young civilian landed a police drone with the help of a kite string. The UAV was used by law enforcement agencies to monitor everyone who operated kites in densely populated areas of the Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

Despite the government ban on the use of kites, kite flying and aerial gunfire continue to bewilder people and police officers. In the past 15 hours, seven people were exposed to aerial gunfire and sustained injuries from a kite string.

Authorities are implementing all possible measures to stop the flying of the kites, according to a spokesman for the Rawalpindi Administration.
