Queensland firemen are scared of new drone incidents
The Queensland Fire Department strongly recommends drone pilots not to operate their devices in the Kooralbyn area as firemen are trying to suppress a devastating wildfire in the Scenic Rim region.
In August, according to Australian Aviation magazine, fire planes and helicopters stopped quenching a fire which posed a significant threat to homes in a small town located in the Northern Territory because of a suspicious unmanned aerial vehicle.
In April, Australian Aviation reported that 194 cases had already been recorded in 2019 when a drone was on the verge of collision with a manned aircraft. These statistics already provide significant reasons for concerns.
