An unauthorized drone disrupted the suppression of Cameron Peak Fire in Colorado. Fearing for their security, the firefighters were forced to suspend work for the whole day.

In response to the incident, the authorities insisted that UAV operators must bear in their minds the legal regulation of the use of drones. When it comes to firefighting, the use of unmanned aerial vehicle is only permissible when the device can support the fire brigade in their work. In all other cases, the use of UAVs in the close vicinity of a fire is illegal.
