Sri Lankan governmental entities removed the restriction on the use of drones, which was established in response to the Sri Lanka Easter bombings, as a result of which 263 people died.

The prohibition of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles was abolihed taking into account the increasing popularity of such gadgets among different customers which include civilians and different business organizations.

As matter of fact, drone operators won’t be able to operate their devices in vulnerable and prohibited locations. In order to operate drones legally, pilots will be obliged to get the official permission of the Ministry of Defence.
